Due to product demand growth, new products pipeline and a global manufacturing footprint, the Documentation and Configuration Manager is a new role created to help support the delivery of Cochlear’s future global manufacturing network.

Reporting to the Site Setup and Support Senior Manager, this role will be accountable for:

  • Leading a group of technical writers, configurators and draftsperson to deliver document change management services
  • Optimisation and continuous improvement of documentation change processes and leadtime
  • Exploring, planning and implementing best practise work instruction methods to optimise the effectiveness of multilingual documentation
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators for the team to ensure the group meets the short and long term needs of manufacturing.

To be considered for this role you will have experience in a similar role delivering exceptional customer service and continuous improvement outcomes.

  • Key Incumbent requirements:

    • Tertiary Qualifications – Business Administration, Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Engineering or other technical field
    • Strong interpersonal and communications skills (both verbal and written), including previous experience at solving highly complex technical issues by collaborating effectively with others and successfully developing solid relationships.
    • At least 5 years in a people management role, managing technical professionals
    • At least 5yrs relevant industry/career experience
    • Demonstrated delivery of process improvement initiatives
    • At least 5 years’ experience in a regulated environment desired
