As a Senior Test Automation Engineer your role will include; developing, improving and deploying excellent test automation frameworks. You will be trusted with the task of further advancing the team’s system, hardware, software and firmware V&V skills, processes, tools, and equipment. The Senior Test Automation Engineer ensures that high quality products are delivered on time to our customers by defining, planning, executing and reporting system, hardware, software or firmware V&V tests as needed to meet the product plan.
Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
•Lead and architect the direction and strategies of system, hardware, software and firmware test tools in the V&V team
•Design and build advanced automated testing frameworks using Python, C/C++, Java Script
•Perform verification and validation of Cochlear’s products
•Generate and maintain inputs (including V&V plan) and outputs (including documents and results) of verification and validation activities
•Deliver the V&V components of product releases by managing small to medium projects or subtasks within the team from start to finish
•Work with development, test and product management to design and implement test and validation strategies
•Collaborate and influence across multiple teams to ensure high quality delivery of V&V activities
The successful candidate:
To add value to Cochlear in this role you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes:
•University degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering or similar
•Over 5 years’ experience in firmware or system testing; test automation for systems that include both hardware and software – or design and implementation of such systems.
•Over 2 years’ experience in advanced test automation framework development – generating a strategy and plans for test automation or development.
•Skilled in cross-functional thinking and problem solving
