We are currently looking for a Marketing Communications Manager to join our expanding Consumer Marketing team based out of our global head office in Sydney.
This is a newly created position and the purpose of the role is to develop global content and communications that address customers' needs. You will be responsible for developing communications that drive engagement and revenue, with a particular focus on Cochlear Implant recipients.
Working closely with the content team and regional and global stakeholders, the role will focus on planning and developing communications to drive audience engagement that achieve specific business objectives. This will involve developing messaging and editorial plans to connect key audience segments to specific brand strategy.
As well as contributing to strategy, the role involves developing content from concept to execution and ensure its high quality. It also involves managing content campaigns – from planning and developing story ideas to liaising and commissioning writers, photographers, animators and video producers.
We are looking for an experienced story teller; preferably a journalist/editor who has some content marketing/agency or commercial experience. Ultimately, you need to know what makes a great story, what drives engagement, how to write well (articles and headlines), and what it means to put the reader first.
You will need to have demonstrated experience in developing strong and consistent relationships with stakeholders, a demonstrated ability to manage timelines across multiple projects, and an understanding of how to use analytics to drive engagement and content development.
