Key Requirements:

This is a key strategic role within Cochlear that requires an individual who wants to support the Continuous Improvement of processes across many areas (Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service etc.).  Continuous Improvement is a relatively new, yet successful, department at Cochlear and as such you will have the ability to help shape the future. The successful candidate will be responsible for project coordination as well as facilitation of workshops and Kaizen events, initially within a specific function but with an EMEA remit, whilst collaborating with stakeholders across the business. Individual contributor role working within a small but professional Continuous Improvement Team that requires experience in managing challenging deadlines, excellent stakeholder management and the ability to manage their own workload.  This would suit a candidate that is looking for the next step up in their career path


  • Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • Demonstrates resourcefulness and maturity, must have a patient, calm nature
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • A natural change catalyst who challenges the status quo
  • Demonstrates a passion & enthusiasm for Lean Six Sigma/CI
  • Able to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels of the organisation, both verbally and in writing, in English
  • Hands on experience, able to diagnose & consult as well as drive, lead & deliver
  • Ability to travel
  • Strong business acumen with a clear understanding of end-to-end process
  • Champion CI - act as a role model, truly ‘walk the talk’
  • Advanced MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • High Energy; Self Starter; Resilient; Perseverance; Adaptable and Flexible


  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in CI
  • A recognised certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
  • Experience of working with Minitab would be advantageous
  • Experience of training & coaching
  • Proven success in project leadership & successful on time delivery, in full, across matrix/ cross functional &/or multi territory global organisations
  • A clear understanding of business process, able to adapt their thinking quickly when presented with new information and data
  • Ability to think strategically and understand high level strategy
  • A thought leader, capable of being a sounding board to senior members of the organisation
  • Experience with a diverse, multinational company

Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify and implement improvements within processes

Build and maintain knowledge management within EMEA

Support the training of required and approved CI tools across EMEA

Sustain long term process improvements

Act as a project mentor to colleagues
