A fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated Test Automation Lead to work in Cochlear to contribute and innovate processes for the IT team has arisen in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will be presented with the opportunity to lead the continuous improvement of Verification & Validation (V&V) tests as needed.

Key Responsibilities

The Test Automation Lead will work with other members to establish and maintain effective and efficient test automation frameworks, tools and infrastructure while ensuring high quality product releases.

 In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Lead and architect the direction and strategies of system and software application tools.
  • Strong knowledge and hands on experience in designing and implementing automation testing framework.
  • Lead/contribute to engineering efforts from planning and organization to execution and delivery to solve complex engineering problems in applications and testing
  • Create and maintain a reusable and configurable set of automated tests across applications
  • Identify areas of improvements in test and development processes; tailor automation tools to address specific needs
  • Build and maintain test automation framework
  • Create and maintain test scripts (both manual and automated)
  • Designing documentation for automated processes.
  • Define testing requirements with clear acceptance criteria
  • Lead, motivate and coach a team of test engineers
  • Designing documentation for automated processes.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in computing (for example, IT, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics)
  • At least 5 years of experience in software testing and application development
  • Minimum 3 years of hands on proven experience in designing and implementing automation framework.
  • Excellent coding skills using Python, Object Oriented Programming, Java, Page Object Model or Source Code Control (GIT)
  • Ability to create and maintain test scripts in both manual and automation test is a MUST for this role.
  • Hands-on experience of any Defect Tracking tool and Defect life cycle management is highly desirable.
  • Possess good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience with Agile ceremonies: Scrum, Kanban, Daily Standups, Refinement, Retrospective is highly essential for this role.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in Agile Environment/ Team is an added advantage
