The IT Division at Cochlear has a permanent opportunity for an Oracle EBS Application System Administrator to join the Application Services team based at our Global headquarters in Macquarie Park.
The scope of this role is to provide administration, maintenance and user access services to Cochlear globally in support of the Oracle EBS applications. This will require you to handle prioritized activities in the face of multiple conflicting timeframes and you will be accountable for own workload so you must have demonstrated experience in working under minimal supervision.
You must have a degree in Information Technology or relevant field with at least 3+ years of strong working knowledge of Oracle EBS Application system administration experience to be considered for this position. Having the ability to perform Oracle EBS User Access Management, License Management, configuring and monitoring concurrent jobs, and necessary maintenance activities through proactive monitoring is key as you will be responsible for managing Oracle EBS application user access, performance, sysadmin changes and troubleshooting to agreed targets using standard processes.
This role requires excellent customer service, problem solving, and written/verbal communication skills. You will work closely with the regional Oracle EBS application services team and Oracle Database Administrators across the business. Technical skills including Oracle PLSQL for performing and supporting Oracle Sysadmin tasks is required. The role may require you to do Oracle EBS deployments involving sysadmin tasks ad hoc at weekends for projects so a flexible approach to work is required.
Experience in Audit activities for Oracle EBS Application covering User access, scheduled concurrent jobs etc. for both internal and external audits will be required, and you will be responsible for ensuring that application management documentation is kept up to date. Strong attention to detail, adherence to quality procedures and a high degree of organization are key attributes for success. You will be needed to liaise with business users for configuration changes and reporting.
