The Opportunity

This unique role allows you to lead the design, development, implementation and verification of Manufacturing Test Systems for Cochlear sound processors, implants and remote assistants. In this fantastic role, you will Collaborate the design activity effectively across all required disciplines to achieve business success.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Test System Design & Development by designing new production test systems considering, and balancing stakeholder needs and ensuring test systems are fit for purpose.
  • Coordinate the development, verification, and implementation of production test systems.
  • Provide expert design for test feedback to the appropriate design teams, such as firmware, electrical and mechanical.
  • Coordinate the development, verification, and implementation of production test systems.
  • Verification and validation by coordinating the development, verification, and implementation of production test systems.
  • Documentation which involves Coordinate the development, verification, and implementation of production test systems.

About you

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics or similar.
  • Able to provide expert design for test feedback to the appropriate design teams, such as firmware, electrical and mechanical.

  • Familiar with verification of production test systems for electronic products.
  • Experience with mechanical CAD software.

Ideal:

  • Experience in a highly regulated industry e.g. Medical, Defence, Aerospace.
  • Experience with test software (Labview, Python, C#).
  • Familiar with test system development tasks, including test software, and PCB layout.
  • Understanding of analogue and digital hardware design.
  • Experience with test hardware (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analysers, Multi-meters).
