The Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Audiologist, to join our ANZ team in the role of Clinical Account Manager. Reporting to the Area Business Manager, this role collaborates closely with our professional partners (including ENT Specialists, Audiologists, nurses and surgeons) and key accounts across the North Brisbane and Regional areas including Townsville, Cairns, Bundaberg and Rockhampton

In this role you will be responsible for supporting business growth and achievement of target sales by;

  • Providing clinical expertise to our key professional partners as an expert of the Cochlear product portfolio.
  • Providing technical and clinical support through a variety of communication vehicles. This support may include advising on device programming and candidacy issues, problem solving related to medical/surgical inquiries and device trouble shooting. 
  • Identifying and developing relationships with Non – traditional hearing partners to grow the Market
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with all assigned accounts (surgeons, audiologists, OR department, purchasing department, etc).
  • Establish and implement growth strategies through innovative clinical solutions and education.
  • In partnership with Area Business Manager, implement business and marketing plans to achieve revenue objectives.

To be successful in this role we are seeking someone who brings the following skills and experience.

  • Masters of Audiology, with a minimum two years’ experience in hearing
  • Professionalism and cultural sensitivity
  • Excellent sales and influencing skills
  • Outstanding communication skills – oral, written and presentation. Should be able to communicate well with internal and external stakeholders with a sense of urgency
  • Good understanding of institutional and B2B sales processes along with sound commercial acumen
  • Proven track record of building and nurturing stakeholder relationships – internal and external
  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team setting
  • Ability to travel up to 50% in Northern Queensland.

Something extra to grab our attention

  • Sales and business acumen experience in a medical device environment preferred but not essential
  • Prior clinical experience, preferably with cochlear implants or bone conduction implant technologies
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional outlook
  • Effective problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to manage and resolve challenging situations
  • Excellent organizational skills and initiative
  • Demonstrates sense of urgency and ability to prioritize
