Cochlear is looking for an experienced Active Directory Engineer who will manage domains, Audit user permission, develop strategies for disaster recovery, offer technical support to users and ensure regulations and policies are compliant as well as work on researching and recommending new Directory Services security technologies that will better suit IAM policies and initiatives.
This role will lead efforts in troubleshooting, remediating and optimizing all Identity related issues, while also working with customer requirements and providing educated recommendations to management.
Responsibilities will include:
- Maintain a high level of ownership and investment in tasks associated with both new and ongoing Identities (Active Directory, Azure AD) projects within the organization.
- Developing and enhancing enterprise Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory engineering standards for a multi-site organization, including operating system and authentication protocols.
- Providing 3rd level support for an enterprise-wide Microsoft Windows distributed server platform, including related technologies such as Certificate Services, IIS, Clustering, etc.
- Actively contributing to the strategy and roadmap of the Cochlear Identities such as Active Directory and Azure AD Services portfolio within the organization.
Providing mentor and guidance to IT support functions that interact and interface with AD.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years experience with Active Directory
- Experience in architecting and configuring Microsoft Windows OS technology including AD Forests, Domains, Trusts, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Organizational Units
- Technical lead and experience in active directory deployment, Azure AD and Microsoft infrastructure projects.
- Good Understanding of Microsoft Zero Trust.

- Azure AD, Azure Active Directory Connect, Pass-Thru Authentication (PTA), Password Hash Sync (PHS), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Azure Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Azure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Microsoft Authenticator App, Conditional Access Policy, Microsoft PKI infrastructure
