People & Culture Service and Experience Payroll Lead (Human Resources Payroll Lead)

Position Spotlight:

  • Collaborate with Service and Experience peers, Executive Business Partners, and Centers of Expertise (COE) to deliver payroll and benefits administration services to our Americas region.
  • Ensure all input to the People & Culture systems are compliant to local statutory payroll requirements.
  • Point of escalation for all complex payroll queries and problem resolution.
  • Hybrid work environment consisting of two days in office and three days remote work from home.

In order to help Cochlear continue to grow and service our customers, we are recruiting for a People & Culture Service and Experience Payroll Lead in our Americas head office based in Lone Tree, CO. Your success in this role is measured by your ability to process payroll timely and accurately and the administration of employee benefits while working collaboratively within a team atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of the overall end to end payroll processes
  • Administration and communication of employee benefit programs including annual enrolment
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements regarding payments and administration of benefits
  • Payroll vendor relationship management support and system maintenance

Key Requirements

To add value to Cochlear in this role you'll be able to meet and demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Bachelors or Equivalent Work Experience
  • A combination of 5‐7+ years of experience in Payroll, Benefits Administration and Human Resources
  • Previous experience managing Human Resources Information Systems (ADP, Oracle and Workday)
  • Ability to work across boundaries in a global /matrixed team
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred

  • Pay Range in the United States: $75,000 - $80,000 based upon experience, as well as an annual bonus opportunity of 7.5% of base salary. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
  • Benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance as well as 401(K) matching with immediate vesting, Paid Time Off, tuition reimbursement, maternity and paternity leave, Employee Stock Purchase Plan and pet insurance.
